More News For Thanatos Pre Pay Folks

Hello Everyone,

As you may have noticed the Thanatos "Exterminating Angel" CD has yet to appear. Basically I didn't raise the money to even pay the artist! Poorly done all around (except I hope..the music!). SO, the release is going to be out digitally and I will arrange for all of you to get a copy if you want it that way. LIKEWISE I am going to make 15 copies of the release on CD or, perhaps, on a thumb drive. I will send this with individualized packaging to each of you...I am working on all the packaging now!

I am not sure why the hell I didn't do this via Kickstarter excepting that I am an idiot.

I am writing to verify everyone's addresses so I can send completed stuff out as soon as it is ready. EMAIL me

I am very sorry for the delay. There is a bunch of digital Thanatos stuff upcoming...a compilation, the digitial release of Exterminating Angel, a "rarities" release and a live release. ALL of you will get ALL of these free.

Obviously there will be no wide release but..I am gonna do something for all of the dozen folks who bought this in advance. I still owe the artist who did the album art money. And I just am not going to go into the whole it would take. I am sure most of you do not care but I am going to get you an release!

And you get the next one free. Assuming I do a next one.

Ok so I am still making one step ahead one step back progress on getting the tiny handful of people who pre-ordered Exterminating Angel, their music...really...I am...

Anyway...I thought in the meantime you might dig this remix of a track off the Illegalteenagebikini CD (which I had to remove from here because the files were wrong). The song was originally called "effortlessly" but I changed it to "Massive, MASSIVE, Object". Here is the MIX by DJ Puzzle/aka Jason Donnelly.

Cause just posting it here and sending out the odd email didn't work very well. All of you who pre-ordered can either wait more and get a copy when it does finally come out OR ask me for a refund which I will cheerfully paypal back to you.

Those who get the disc will still get their special, just for you, recorded track. Not that I have gotten around to doing that just yet....

Tim Larson shot this and put his thumb over the mic. But I thought it was worth posting. The entire show is posted in the live music section...as ONE large file....of course there is about two minutes of music playing before I come on. You can hear the audience HARRANGUING me too.

I kind of wouldn't mind playings some shows like THIS, laid back, acoustic oriented, with people who came to see music. If it hadn't been freezing there might have even been more people.

Sales For The Physical Release Of Exterminating Angel Cut Of December 1

The $10 deal for the advance of the last Thanatos PHYSICAL release (which, despite the picture above is not from Projekt..who are awesome but not putting out this record) is about to end. The reason for this is that it is going to be limited to 100 and be MUCH more of an art project than initially was the case. AND it is gonna cost a lot more than friggin $10.

For one thing, everyone who buys a copy before Dec 1 can send me a list of three cover songs and I will record ONE of them ONLY for the person making the request (ie I will send you a disc with the one song of the three I choose). Is that clear? Send me a list of three songs if you have bought, or do advance buy the new CD, and I will record a specific cover song JUST for you.

Someone asked me, when I brought up this clever concept, if I would write a song instead. Yeah, fuck you. I haven't written a new song for 3 or 4 years. Send me a list of covers!

Shoot me an email at patrick (at) thanatos (dot) biz if you have bought one and want to send me a list. I will inform all the pre-orderers of this new thing in case they do not regularly check the site.

AND the December 1 date is firm. Cause this is gonna be a huuuuge money loser anyway...Details soooooon.

I know, it has taken a load of time to get the last CD out. And I am really not totally close to getting enough orders to finish it up. But I do plan to get the discs themselves done in the next month or so.

The art I am still debating. It is likely to be a limited run of 1o0 copies, signed by me and the artist....

After than I plan to record some new songs- covers and originals-and post them here for your perusal....free of course. That will be the new Thanatos ethos, music for the people. Of course, you won't be able to download it but that is really just because of my current server.
